“Answering the Call”

Small-group support and mentoring for beginning Enneagram teachers, coaches, guides, and facilitators.

So many of us “fall in love” with the Enneagram for similar reasons. We see ourselves reflected clearly, maybe for the first time in our lives. We begin to relate to ourselves with more compassion, and we learn practical ways to help ourselves expand beyond the box of who we’ve been taking ourselves to be. We learn about our fellow human beings who don’t operate the same way we do, and grow in compassion and appreciation for the full range of human expression. For some Enneagram students, that’s enough. But some of us are called to do more: to help other people discover, learn, and embody this wisdom.

This calling is not for the faint of heart.

If you truly understand the power and potential of the Enneagram to awaken humanity from the trance of ego and its attendant suffering, and you are hearing the persistent call to offer yourself in service to the cause, you are probably also (maybe just a little bit) scared. Worried that you don’t know enough, don’t have what it takes, won’t do the teachings justice, won’t be able to transmit to others what you yourself have received.

Anyone who has sincerely applied themselves to working with the Enneagram knows firsthand that it is not for the faint of heart! This is even more true when we begin teaching and guiding others. Your trepidation tells me that you possess the gift of humility, which will serve you and your clients well. It will keep you returning to the source wisdom again and again; it will keep you walking the walk; it will keep compassion close.

And now you don’t have to do it alone! You will travel much farther and faster (and have a lot more fun!) with a group of brave souls taking the same courageous leap.
